Capalaba Medical Centre is one of the largest general practice providers in Queensland. It is home to a multitude of doctors with many diverse skills. Many of the doctors have been practicing for some decades which brings immense experience to a complicated case. The centre manages most complex medical cases without the need for expensive specialist referrals. Chronic disease in particular requires multidisciplinary skills particularly when considering more than one disease in the same patient. The doctors consulting at Capalaba Medical Centre manage these sort of cases daily and the more challenging ones attract enthusiasm from our practitioners.

At present, Medicare provides some funding for allied health professionals (podiatrist, physiotherapist, dieticians, exercise physiologists etc) to assist in the complex management required for Chronic Disease. This can be done via a General Practice Enhanced Primary Care Chronic Disease Management plan. The Practitioners at CMC are frequently employing these cost effective plans to achieve the best outcomes for our more complex cases.  They are aware of the currently available management guidelines and Care Plans offered by the Government to assist in these areas. Referrals to Allied Health Practitioners can be arranged to improve health care. When booking an appointment to see any Allied Health Practitioner please ask regarding the cost of the consultation.
